Meet Alexandrea

A woman with dark hair and wearing a black jacket with a beige collar, standing outdoors near the ocean on a cloudy day.

Alex (she/her) is the founder of Healing the Land Wellness, an act of community care that initially started off as a podcast exploring the intersections between racial and environmental justice. Healing the Land has now evolved into a wellness practice that centers healing justice, empowerment and community. Alex identifies as a Black, queer woman who grew up in Chicago and has called Portland, Oregon home for the past 3 years. Alex believes healing and wellbeing should be accessible for all.

Alex holds her masters degree in arts from the University of Chicago where she studied social work, health policy and administration and a bachelor's degree in social work from Aurora University. Currently, Alex works as an associate therapist at the Imani Center. She is currently working towards her LCSW. She anticipates obtaining the license by October 2026. Outside of her full time role she facilitates breathwork and movement as a pathway towards mind, body and earth connection and is an end of life death and grief doula.
