Soma for grief: an embodied grief circle

A gentle, body-centered space to feel, witness, and move with grief.

Grief is not something we experience only in our thoughts. It can live in the body—in the tightness of the chest, the heaviness of the limbs, the lump in the throat, the restless energy, the fatigue, the shallow breath, the desire to withdraw, or the feeling that something inside us has changed and we don't quite know how to carry it.

Soma for Grief: An Embodied Grief Circle is a gentle, one-hour gathering designed to explore grief through the body. Rather than asking you to think your way through grief or find a way to "move on," this space invites you to slow down, listen inward, and develop supportive ways of being with what is present.

Each class offers a combination of breathwork, gentle movement, guided journaling, intention setting, and accessible education about the ways grief can impact the body and nervous system. The practices are intentionally oriented toward down-regulation—creating opportunities for settling, softening, grounding, and reconnecting with a sense of safety and presence.

This is not about forcing grief to disappear.

It is about learning how to make space for it.
